Lighting Your Bedroom

Your bedroom is probably the most important room in the house for you. It’s a place where you can chill out and relax, so obviously the way you decorate it is going to match your personality perfectly. When it comes to how to light your bedroom we’ve got a few tips and ideas on how to match up your ideal fixtures with your ideal theme.

Modern/Contemporary

With a modern twist on a bedroom being all the rage at the moment it’s amazing how many lighting fixtures fit in extremely well, creating the perfect ambient atmosphere. Hanging pendant lights and stylish wall lights are completely on trend at the moment, with a lot of white, silver and metallic colours becoming predominantly favourited. Don’t be afraid to add a bit of glitz or glamour when choosing your lighting, creating a dazzling effect. Here at Arrow we have a lot of simplistic designs, which both save space and look incredible.

Classic/Elegant

As with a modern theme, there has also been a resurgence in classic decor, think chandeliers and elegant hanging lights. Bronze or gold coloured lights tend to be the sought after imagery desired by those aiming for an elegant theme. Traditional table and floor lamps make great use of the space along with providing an excellent light source and can really bring a room together. Our collection of on trend lighting fixtures with an elegant or traditional touch will work incredibly with your desired colour scheme at affordable prices.

Simplistic

A simplistic look is desired by many for their bedroom, giving the illusion of more space. Excellent whites usually create an airy atmosphere, but also modern simplistic designs can effortlessly create the simplistic look you want. Smaller lighting fixtures or thinner floor lamps can blend in well with their surroundings, and if you opt for the LED bulb instead of the traditional it will offer a much crisper and clearer light, plus lasts a lot longer. Another tip we’d highly recommend is adding a mirror, which would really tie the room together, but is an invaluable source of sharing light to make the room seem bigger.
