Paddington is packed full of picturesque parks, glorious gardens, amazing places to eat and of course Paddington bear.
Paddington finds itself situated in West London, located right between two Royal Parks as well as the West End and Notting Hill. It's also been the birth place of many famous people in the past including Nobel Prize winner Sir Alexander Fleming whose discovery of penicillin revolutionised the world of medicine. Prince William, Prince Harry, Prince George and Princess Charlotte were all born in the area of Paddington.
While your taking in the sites and history of the area, be sure to pop in to our store to check out all our latest products and offers. Our friendly staff will even give you help on the local area if you're looking for things to do, see or eat.
Our Paddington store is located at 349 Edgware Road and is open from 7am until 5pm Monday to Friday and 8am until 1:30pm on Saturday.
Getting to Paddington is simple and hassle free, with the station being open 24 hours a day, seven days a week you can arrive and leave as you wish. Links to other areas of the country and London are all fully available at Paddington Station.
So let's take a look at things to do while you're in Paddington, after you've visited our store of course...
Hyde Park
Labelled as one of the great city parks in the world, London's Hyde Park covers 350 acres of land with a massive amount of trees, a large lark and beautiful flower gardens. Many people wander Hyde Park in order to escape from the hustle and bustle of the City, you'll forget you're right in the centre of London as you stroll the grounds. Go swimming, boating, go for a bike ride or skate with your friends, there is so much to do at Hyde Park and you can even take apart in games such as tennis, horse riding and there's even a playground for the children. With over 14,188 reviews on TripAdvisor and an average of over 4 stars there's definitely reason to visit.
Little Venice
Slightly out of the way of Paddington lies Little Venice, a beautiful range of canals and waterways. The neighbourhood features some waterside cafes, warming pubs and inviting restaurants. There are lots of things to do in this area as well, with puppet shows and canal boat rides just some of the things on offer. With walking links to Camden and Regent's Park you're right in the thick of it but the feeling in the area is so much different to that of the city. Take a stroll and enjoy some of the award winning fringe and comedy events or even head to the many independent theatres on offer.
The Summerhouse
Situated right on the Union Canal, the Summerhouse is the perfect spot for enjoying the very best fresh seafood, crisp salads and the traditional fish and chips. Al fresco is very much encouraged in order to take in the views of the canal, all surrounded by a refreshing and bright ambience. Presented with a Certificate of Excellence by TripAdvisor for consistently receiving great reviews from its visitors, this is one you cannot miss out on if you're in the area.
Nipa Thai
This very special place is one of only 15 UK restaurants recognised by the Thai government for its quality and cuisine. If that doesn't tempt you, nothing will. Nipa proudly wears its heritage on its sleeve. Browse the three set menus and an extensive a la carte offer that brings together all of the intense Thai flavours, mixing the traditional dishes of central Thailand with regional specialities. If you are a fan of a well decorated restaurant then you'll have to visit this restaurant due to the setting and feel of the place, it's an experience you don't want to miss.
THE LANDMARK LONDON
This grand five star hotel finds itself in a perfect location with links to other areas of London, not only that but the style & character of the hotel is unique and offers a luxurious atmosphere. You can experience the history of the hotel through the stained glass windows featured, as well as taking in the glass roofed atrium in the center of the hotel. With a huge list of rooms and great facilities on offer we're choosing this as our personal favourite.
Paddington Bear
You cannot forget Paddington Bear! From around the 1960s, Paddington and its station as been synonymous with the very lovable, marmalade adoring children's book character. He even has his own Hollywood film! You'll find a very charming statue of the bear on one of the station platforms (we'll let you find it) exactly where the Brown family found him in the first book. We highly recommend visiting the unique Paddington Bear shop in the station as it's one of a kind, there's no other shop like it in the world.
Now we've listed our favourite things to do in the area, why not tell us yours?
