The Perfect Autumn Lighting

With Autumn underway and the clocks going backwards the days are about to get shorter and the weather is about to get colder. It’s around this time that finding the right lighting for your home will create that perfect warm atmosphere you so desire. We’re not saying you should have different styles of lights for each season, but getting the right lighting with your choice of bulbs is an excellent way to create an incredible seasonal glow. At Arrow Electrical we have some exceptional choice of lighting fixtures that we think would work excellently with the Autumn season, and provide a perfect addition to any home. Bedroom A place to relax and chill out, probably everyone's most favourite room in the house! Which is why finding the perfect balance of lighting and style is key. In autumn we’d recommend subtle colours and soft warm lighting, creating that faultless surrounding. Dar Lighting’s Demetrius Iron Based Traditional Style Lamp is a simplistic design, with neutral colours that would fit it excellently in any bedroom. Try adding an ecoclassic halogen bulb to get that dull light, which will gradually glow brighter, saving money and using less energy in the process.

Hallway

The first part of your home any visitor will see so of course you're going to want to creating a welcoming atmosphere. You ideally want to get that right balance of lighting where it’s not too dim but not overpowering, so we’d recommend using an LED lighting fitting, preferably with a dimmer feature. The LED will create that clear and crisp white light, plus will last much longer than any regular bulb, cutting costs on the times you would need to change the bulb. One of our choices would be Elstead Lighting’s Quoizel Spencer 1 Light LED Floor Lamp, It’s reasonably priced, easy to move, and can be altered to give it out more or less light, depending on where you face it. The colouring of the floor lamp enables it to go effortlessly in any modern or rustic designed home.

Kitchen

One of the most important room in any home, so you’d want it to be correctly lit, but still encapture the style you're going for. Living Room

The feature room in many UK homes, used to entertain or just chill,.You’ll want the room well lit, with the option of being able to lower the lighting, which is why having a mixture of lighting is pretty important. Having only one or two lamps around wouldn’t deliver the right amount of lighting you ideally would want, try mixing a few scattered table and floor lamps with a feature ceiling light of spotlights.
